Amnesty day is going to be on September 9th from 7 AM to 2 PM. This event will be located on highway 25 at the Benton county public Works. This event is a free house hold waste collection with certain guide lines. The CROSS Center is interested in residents helping with the TV/Computer category. There are 6 TVs at the CROSS Center that cannot be brought to Amnesty day unless a family comes and delivers them to the Benton County public works. Warning; these TVs are heavy! The CROSS Center is not able to accept electronics, TVs, computers, microwaves or furniture because the money they are donated is used for purchasing food and other necessities. If you think you have an exception you can talk to us about it.
As the new school year is just around the corner, children in our community will be needing new school supplies to start the year off right. HERE is a list of this year’s needed supplies.
Thank you to the Post Office for their fantastic food drive! It filled our selves nicely.
As school is out for the summer, food shelves see an increased number of children visitors. As a response, you are invited to be a part of Open your Heart to the Hungary and Homeless .This is a July initiative that turns a small donation from you into a lot of food for those in need in our community as all donations will be proportionally matched up to $5,000 in buying power at our food banks. This can make a significant difference in our community. Thank you for your support!

The 2017 Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign is starting March 1. You can support the local food drives, or you can have your own food drive. Many Churches, schools, and businesses can be collection agents for local food drives. All the money will be spent on food and utilities, and the food donated will be quickly shared with the clients. Thank you for your support! For more information, click on our “How to Help” tab above, and then click on March Campaign. We are thankful for all the donations of food and money because the more donations that come to CROSS Center during March the more money the CROSS Center receives later in the year.
Thank you to all your support over the holidays!
